Who we are

Fred Heddinger

After more than forty years in sales, advertising and marketing, I have had the opportunity to solve literally hundreds of problems. Some of the solutions worked wondrfully well; some did not.  As Edison famously said, "I have learned 1,000 ways NOT to make a light bulb."

My successes include developing a marketing program for a new bank, which made the bank profitable in nine months and resulted in a a sell-off which greatly enriched the original principals. And designing a marketing plan to sell out a year's production of a consumer hardware item at the introduction. And building the most successful direct marketing sales force in the mid-Atlantic, with a hiring success rate of over eighty percent.

In the past forty years there have been a lot of changes in the tools we use, but the basics have never changed.  Success still depends on correctly identifying the market, carefully honing the message and closing with highly trained sales people. I can help you get all three of these areas refined, then set up systems to help them work together to bring success.

(Yes, that is me in the picture.  No, it was NOT taken in 1855.)

Others

If I employed a highly skilled, greatly experienced professional in every area of marketing, advertising and sales, you could not afford to use me.  Besides, there are big expensive agencies already there for you to overpay.

Instead, I bring first-rate, experienced professionals with very specific capabilities into our relationship on an "as needed" basis. This assures you get great value without paying for unneeded overhead.

If you invite me to undertake a complete analysis of any area of your business, I will recommend some specific problem-solvers along with the report you will receive.  Some things I will do myself and other things I will direct others to do.

Believe me, managing a crew of free-lance professionals is a bit like herding cats.  Fortunately, these particular cats can make any part of your Marketing/Advertising/Sales organization purr like a kitten.
